Shana Tova from Chavat Gilad!
As the families in our community sit in our Sukkot, we are thinking with such joy and gratitude how Hashem is the One Who provides everything we need…and how it is only Hashem Yisborach, our blessed G-d, Who preserves any of us and keeps us safe. But we remember King David’s words in Psalm 118: Hashem is with me in my helpers.
| 6The Lord is for me; I shall not fear. What can man do to me? | ויְהֹוָ֣ה לִ֖י לֹ֥א אִירָ֑א מַה־יַּֽעֲשֶׂ֖ה לִ֣י אָדָֽם: | |
| 7The Lord is for me with my helpers, and I shall see [revenge] in my enemies. | זיְהֹוָ֣ה לִ֖י בְּעֹֽזְרָ֑י וַֽ֜אֲנִ֗י אֶרְאֶ֥ה בְשֹֽׂנְאָֽי: | |
| 8It is better to take shelter in the Lord than to trust in man. | חט֗וֹב לַֽחֲס֥וֹת בַּֽיהֹוָ֑ה מִ֜בְּטֹ֗חַ בָּֽאָדָֽם: |
Sitting in our Sukkot, we take shelter in Hashem.
But since our kind friends have asked what we may need, I will tell you that before winter arrives…and the rain starts pattering on the windows…we must urgently pave the roads in the community.
- We would like to repair the entrance road to the community that was badly damaged last winter.
- We need to pave the road next to the daycare center, so that the residents can bring their children safely.
- We need to pave the roads that lead to the remote sections of the community so that residents can reach their homes.
We have received two price quotes and need $50,000 for this project. if any money is left, we will also pave the road that leads to the women’s mikveh.
