Eight years ago, we received an old caravan from the neighboring town of Kedumim as a gift, which we renovated with help from friends of Havat Gilad in Israel and from Texans for a Safe Israel and other friends from around the world. We turned an old caravan into a library filled with books for children and adults. The library offers a wide range of fiction books and books on topics of culture and Jewish interest. There are also games in the library for children’s enjoyment. The library is located in the center of the town, and is a pleasant place to relax, read, and for parents and children to spend quality time together.
We always appreciate donations of funds for the library so that we may update our collection and perhaps one day move it from a caravan into a permanent building with better electrical wiring and more room for books, computer, and community meeting space.
